Contact UsThe Three Pillars
Alsen Pride Lodge No. 253 is a Prince Hall Masonic organization founded in 1946. We build character through mentorship, empower youth through direct service, and transform our community through three core principles.
Brotherly Love
We regard the whole human species as one family. We aid, support, and protect each other — direct support for our brothers, mentorship for life's challenges, and visible solidarity in our community.
Relief
To relieve the distressed is a duty incumbent on all Freemasons. We live this through Project Silk & Silhouette, community service days, and direct support to families in need — relief is measurable impact.
Truth
Truth is the foundation of every virtue. In our lodge, this means transparency in operations, honesty in communications, and integrity in all dealings with our members and community.

WM Joseph McAllister, 32°
Alsen Pride Lodge No. 253, Prince Hall Affiliated
Worshipful Master Joseph McAllister’s story begins where many end — giving back. A former Fellow Knight of Pythagoras and Past Master Knight of Carter-Tansil Council No. 3, he once stood on the J.W. Vaughn Oratorical Contest stage as a competitor. Today, he helps run it as an Appointed Grand Lodge Officer under the Masons As Mentors Program.
Raised under his sponsoring lodge, Alsen Pride Lodge No. 253, Bro. McAllister worked his way through the ranks of the craft — advancing to the 32nd Degree as a Sublime Prince of the Royal Secret through Baton Rouge Consistory No. 179 — before earning the honor of leading the very lodge that raised him as its Worshipful Master in 2026.
He also serves as Co-Council Director for Carter-Tansil Council No. 3, President of the Board of Regents for the Louisiana Knights of Pythagoras, and Board Member of the Baton Rouge Metro Chamber of Commerce.
A media entrepreneur, broadcast producer, and on-air host with 12+ years of experience — Brother McAllister leads with the belief that true brotherhood is built through investment in the craft, the community, and those still finding their way.
